WENTZVILLE, Mo. (AP) - A Great Dane initially implicated in the fatal attack of another dog at a dog park is now back with his owner.

The dog, named Zeus, was given back to his owner on Friday.

Authorities say Buddy, a 10-year-old golden retriever, was killed on March 30 at Quail Ridge Park in the off-leash dog area.

St. Charles County officials say that an autopsy of Buddy showed no puncture marks, crushing or other identifiable cause of death. Also, the county has been unable to locate another dog involved in the attack.

The Great Dane’s owner agreed to put the dog in training and socialization classes, and to allow future behavior evaluations. He will not be allowed in dog parks or other off-leash animal facilities.
