JONESBORO, Ark. (AP) - A California man submitted the winning bid of $11,700 in an eBay auction to win the chance to coach one of the teams in Arkansas State’s spring football game.

Nick Bhardwaj will give the pregame and halftime talks to his team and will be allowed to determine whether to punt on fourth downs or go for the first down. He’ll also be allowed to make play-calling decisions.

The 25-year-old Bhardwaj is CEO and co-founder of a gaming studio based in San Francisco and says he is a huge sports fan. He said he has followed ASU in recent years and has become familiar with the history of the program.

The ASU spring game is Friday starting at 7 p.m.
