ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - A Glen Burnie man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for trying to shoot employees at an Annapolis store during a botched robbery.
Twenty-eight-year-old Darius Cameron was convicted of two counts of attempt murder in January. The Annapolis Capital reports (https://bit.ly/Rnj0sB) that he was sentenced Monday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors say in August 2011, Cameron entered Anita’s Spanish Grocery, pointed a revolver at employees and demanded money. Authorities say he pulled the trigger several times, but the gun malfunctioned.
