COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A Red Oak man who crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 29 in Council Bluffs spent two days in a ditch before being found by a motorist.

The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil reports (https://bit.ly/RmQXtc ) 55-year-old Thomas Anderson was northbound on his motorcycle near the Iowa Highway 92 exit Thursday when a truck apparently cut him off, forcing him into the east ditch.

Council Bluffs police says Anderson was thrown from his motorcycle in an area not visible from the roadway.

He remained hidden until late Saturday afternoon, when a man parked his truck along the side of the freeway to make a phone call. The man saw the motorcycle and then spotted Anderson, who was conscious.

He called authorities, and Anderson was taken to an Omaha hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
