TRINIDAD, Colo. (AP) - A llama that might have escaped from a caretaker has been scampering around the southern Colorado town of Trinidad and its state college campus.

Trinidad State Junior College officials say the llama showed up Wednesday and wasn’t aggressive but wouldn’t let anyone get near.

Police followed the animal to the edge of town, where it appeared to head toward the foothills to the west.

Police told the college the animal might have escaped from someone in town who was caring for it.
