GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (AP) - Police say a bus driver is accused of driving a party bus full of drunken Long Island teenagers.

They say the trip began in Garden City and ended in Southampton Monday night. It had no particular destination.

Luis Guevara-Henriquz was charged with child endangerment and issued a desk appearance ticket.

State police say it’s unclear how the alcohol got on the bus undetected. They say they found about 100 beer cans and “several gallons” of opened and empty bottles of whiskey and rum.

The owner of Coachman Luxury Transport where the driver works told Newsday (https://bit.ly/1t8WPEC ) Guevara-Henriquz didn’t know the teens had alcohol on the bus.

Police say there were no adult chaperones on board. It was not a school-sponsored trip.
