CASWELL, Maine (AP) - The Maine Warden Service says a 74-year-old man has been found dead after he stepped into a culvert and was swept downstream after moving his truck across a flooded road in Caswell.

Authorities say Paul Oliver of Caswell was reported missing at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. He had moved his truck across a flooded dirt road and attempted to walk back across the road to his home.

Authorities said the road was completely covered by water and Oliver stepped into the opening of a large culvert and was swept downstream. His body was found by wardens at about 5:35 a.m. Wednesday, 20 yards downstream.
