SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Police in eastern South Dakota say they have arrested a man in the death of a Sioux Falls woman.

Authorities say officers and emergency services were called to a home for a 53-year-old woman who sustained fatal injuries at a home Wednesday afternoon.

Police say witnesses saw a man leave the home and were able to get a license plate number and the description of the car. Police found the suspect and the car minutes later.

Police say the man has not been charged and the incident appears to be drug related. They say the victim and suspect knew each other.

The woman has not been publicly identified.
