NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities are seeking a suspect who set small fires at three Brooklyn churches.

Police say the fires occurred over a 3-day period beginning at 2:45 a.m. Saturday at The Greater New Beginnings Church in East Flatbush.

They say newspapers were lit inside the doorway of the church.

On Palm Sunday, the suspect set fire to an object and tossed it through a closed window of Iglesia Cristiana Church in the Brownsville section.

The Daily News (https://nydn.us/1iZaDth ) says the suspect also was caught on a security camera walking up to a door of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Crown Heights and igniting newspapers before fleeing.

All three churches sustained minor damage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
