A thrill-seeking teenager attempting to take a selfie with an oncoming train as a backdrop was handed a valuable life lesson when the conductor stuck out a foot and knocked him in the head.

“Wow, that guy just kicked me in the head!” the teen, Jared Michael, said in a video he made of the risky act, the New York Post reported.

The video shows the teen, outfitted with earbuds, staring directly into the camera lens — and then here comes the foot.

But perhaps the lesson of the need to paying attention to one’s surroundings was lost on him. His comment, post-whack: “I think I got that on film!”

Jared said he was a “safe distance” from the train, but apparently not safe enough. The video shows the conductor didn’t have to stick his leg out that far to make contact.
