BEALLSVILLE, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County Police say a man was killed when his car left the road, hit a utility pole and overturned.

It happened about 4 a.m. Thursday in Beallsville. Officers say a car driven by 58-year-old Kenneth James Lovelett was traveling east on Darnestown Road.

Police say the car traveled into the westbound lane, and left the road. Authorities say the car hit a utility pole, overturned and came to rest at the entrance to the Woodstock Equestrian Park.

Officers say Lovelett, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident is under investigation.
