LAS VEGAS (AP) - An argument over a cellphone has led to a fatal stabbing at a McDonald’s restaurant in Las Vegas.

Police say two men began to argue inside the restaurant Thursday morning and the stabbing occurred outside as horrified customers watched.

Kenneth Parolini, a roommate of the victim, told KLAS-TV the argument began after his friend told the other man that he “couldn’t use his cellphone” inside the restaurant on West Sahara Avenue.

Parolini says it’s “stupid” the stabbing occurred over a phone, and his friend was looking for a job to help support his three children.

Police later arrested 36-year-old Asa Funderburk at a nearby home. He was booked into the Clark County jail on suspicion of murder.

The victim’s name wasn’t immediately released.
