GOLDEN, Colo. (AP) - A 23-year-old man who acknowledged driving drunk and causing a fatal crash in the Denver suburb of Westminster has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office says Zachary Snyder, of Arvada, was sentenced Friday for the Oct. 13, 2012, death of 65-year-old Kenneth Mortensen. Snyder previously pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and DUI.

Prosecutors say his blood-alcohol content was 0.304 percent, almost four times the legal limit for driving. Snyder turned left in front of the car Mortensen was in. Mortensen’s wife, who was driving, was seriously injured.
