LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - Police in Lawton are investigating the shooting death of a 37-year-old man.

Authorities say Friday’s shooting death of Timothy Hill is Lawton’s seventh homicide of the year.

The Oklahoman reports (https://bit.ly/Rw5Rxq ) that officers responded to reports of gunshots at about 2:20 a.m. and found the victim lying in a driveway. Investigators say Hill suffered several gunshot wounds and died.

Investigators determined Hill arrived at his home and parked his car. Lawton police Capt. Craig Akard says he was shot by an unidentified assailant when he exited the vehicle.

Hill’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Oklahoma City for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Akard says no arrests have been made and police are continuing to interview people who may have information about the killing.
