TOWSON, Md. (AP) - Police in Baltimore County are investigating after a man was shot in the back while fleeing a robbery.

Police say the victim walked in to a hospital just before 11 p.m. Friday. The man told police he was parked in the area of Belmont Avenue and Security Boulevard and using his cell phone when he was approached by two men who told him he was being robbed and began assaulting him.

The 54-year-old man fled the scene in his car when at least one gunshot entered the rear window of his car and struck him in the back.

Police say the victim is in stable condition and expected to recover. Police are looking for the two suspects.
