WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Two men allegedly involved in a road-rage incident that authorities say led to a fatal crash on the Garden State Parkway two years ago have been indicted on vehicular homicide charges.

The charges against 29-year-old Thomas Vanderweit of Saddle Brook and 22-year-old John C. Emili, of New City, N.Y. were handed up this week by a Bergen County grand jury.

The charges stem from a July 2012 crash in Washington Township.

Authorities have said Emili lost control of his car as he tried to pass Vanderweit’s vehicle on the right in an exit lane. Emili’s vehicle overturned and struck Vanderweit’s vehicle.

A backseat passenger in Emili’s vehicle, 63-year-old Annetta Billingy of Teaneck, was ejected and killed.

Witnesses said the men had been tailgating and making numerous lane changes.
