BALTIMORE (AP) - The Baltimore State’s Attorney Office says a police officer has pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a teenager he supervised in a Police Athletic League program.
Prosecutors say 49-year-old Frederick Allen entered the plea in a Baltimore court on Tuesday. Sentencing is set for May 23.
Authorities say Allen met the teen at a PAL after-school program when she was 6 or 7. Prosecutors say in 2005, when the girl was 15 and working at a PAL program, Allen, her on-site supervisor, began to engage in sex acts with her.
Baltimore Police Commissioner Anthony Batts fired Allen immediately after his plea, the department said in a statement.
