ST. CLOUD, Minn. (AP) - A man wanted for violating probation on drug charges surrendered to authorities in St. Cloud following a standoff that lasted more than two hours.

Police say the man failed to follow commands after officers pulled him over Tuesday and the standoff ensued. Authorities had information that the man had weapons in the past. Tactical officers were called to the scene and negotiations began.

WJON (https://bit.ly/1lBPN9y ) reports the 26-year-old man eventually gave up. A female passenger in his vehicle was released at the scene.
