EL PASO, Texas (AP) - Two men and a woman have been rescued after being swept into a drainage ditch after heavy rain and hail fell in northeastern El Paso.

The El Paso Times (https://bit.ly/1i73XZ1 ) reports that the men were swept Saturday about 400 feet into a drainage canal.

Once rescued, the men told firefighters they were with a woman when water and ice swept through the drain.

The woman was found alive a short time later, but she was buried beneath 3 feet of ice from the hail. Additional information about her condition wasn’t available Sunday.

Her body temperature was 75 degrees and emergency personnel performed CPR.

The victim was taken to University Medical Center where medical personnel worked to warm her body and resuscitate her.
