MIAMI (AP) - Parishioners at South Florida churches frequented by Ukrainian Americans are praying for peace in that troubled country this Easter.

At the Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Cooper City, churchgoers told The Miami Herald (https://hrld.us/1r4CNJz ) that they hope and pray for peace.

A priest at the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church in Miami said his congregation has prayed constantly that God will protect Ukraine and restore freedom to its people.

The newspaper reports that about 13,000 former Ukrainians live in the Miami area.
