FERGUSON, Mo. (AP) - A 3-year-old St. Louis County boy is expected to recover after being accidentally shot by his 4-year-old brother in an incident police say occurred while their father was smoking pot in another room.

The shooting happened Sunday afternoon at the family’s home in north St. Louis County. The 3-year-old was taken to a hospital with what was described as a graze wound from a shotgun.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch (bit.ly/1r9gbHV ) reports that 27-year-old Larry W. Madison faces a felony charge of child endangerment and a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge.

Police say the 4-year-old accidentally shot his younger brother in the arm. Bail for Madison has been set at $25,000.
