MOUNT JOY, Pa. (AP) - A murder suspect in a Potter County shooting is behind bars after being arrested 200 miles south in Lancaster County.
Twenty-seven-year-old Greg Riehl of Coudersport is charged with murder and reckless endangerment in the shooting of 37-year-old Anthony Palmieri early Sunday morning in Palmieri’s home in Ulysses Township.
Riehl was arrested Monday by Pennsylvania State Police in Mount Joy and returned north to Potter County, where he is being held without bail on first- and third-degree murder charges.
Riehl’s girlfriend told police her boyfriend shot Palmieri after finding her in bed with him.
Riehl told police he wasn’t trying to flee, he wanted to see his father in Lancaster County before turning himself in.
