VANCEBURG, Ky. (AP) - Three people have pleaded not guilty to attacking and killing a woman in northeastern Kentucky.

The Ledger Independent reported (https://bit.ly/1gOY7fm) that 25-year-old Jesse Logan Bertram, 36-year-old John C. Glispie and 26-year-old Brian Clark, all of Garrison, entered the pleas on Friday in Lewis Circuit Court to a charge of reckless homicide.

The men are charged with attacking Heather Stone on Oct. 31 on a road. Sheriff Johnny Bivens says officers were called to a disturbance along Kentucky 1306 and found Stone lying in the middle of the road after being struck by a passing vehicle. Bivens says Stone was left in the road after being assaulted.

Stone was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. She died from her injuries while in the hospital.
