NANTICOKE, Pa. (AP) - The Luzerne County coroner’s office says the death of a 2-month-old earlier this year is a case of homicide.

Police were called to the home in Nanticoke on Feb. 14 and found 2-month-old Jaxon Eckrote dead.

The coroner on Tuesday said Jaxon’s death has been ruled a homicide by asphyxiation.

Police have not yet commented on the coroner’s ruling.
