BOSTON (AP) - A Boston fire department spokesman says a body has been removed from Boston Harbor after witnesses reported seeing it.

Spokesman Steve MacDonald said firefighters were called to the scene at 12:28 p.m. Wednesday after people reported seeing someone offshore at Long Wharf. He said firefighters discovered it was the body of a man, which they removed from the water.

A Boston police spokeswoman said police are investigating and no more information is available.
