RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - A retired real estate appraiser from Bessemer City can thanks his grandsons for his latest win in a N.C. Education Lottery game.
Ronald Riviello played the Carolina Cash 5 game and chose the numbers based on his five grandsons’ birthdays. The dates matched all five numbers in the April 20 drawing.
After state and federal taxes were withheld, Riviello received a check for $101,248.
Riviello said he was part of an office lottery pool that won a share of a $200,000 Powerball prize in South Carolina.
