TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Tempe police say a multiday sting targeting human trafficking and prostitution has resulted in 30 arrests.

Police say part of the operation involved detectives contacting women who had posted escort ads online. The investigation later determined the women were offering sexual favors for money.

Detectives also posed as underage girls and were offered money by some suspects in exchange for sexual favors.

Of the arrests made during the sting, Tempe police Lt. Michael Pooley said 16 were for prostitution and 14 involved child prostitution charges.
