HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) - A sales and marketing leader with more than 40 years of experience in the media industry is the new President of PA Media Group.

D. Lee Carlson had been serving as interim president while also managing the Advance Central Services Pennsylvania operation after John Kirkpatrick’s departure in October. Her appointment as president is effective immediately.

Carlson joined the company, which includes PennLive.com and The Patriot-News, in 2008. In 2013, she helped guide its transformation into a digitally focused organization.

Paul Thomas, Advance Central Services Syracuse vice president and general manager, will take on the additional responsibility of VP and GM of Advance Central Services Pennsylvania.

Thomas brings 35 years of experience, having served in a number of capacities in the Syracuse circulation department before becoming circulation director.
