BETHLEHEM, N.Y. (AP) - A New York City man remains in an upstate jail after state police say he was found carrying more than 1½ pounds of cocaine after driving his motorcycle at more than 100 mph while trying to elude troopers.

Officials say troopers spotted Carolos Sued of the Bronx speeding on the Thruway just south of Albany Wednesday afternoon. Troopers attempted to pull him over, but he speed away and weaved in and out of traffic at speeds topping 130 mph.

Police say Sued tried to make a U-turn, dropped his Yamaha sport bike on its side and attempted to flee on foot before being caught by troopers.

The charges against Sued include drug possession and unlawful fleeing a police officer. It couldn’t immediately be determined if he has a lawyer.
