CAMBRIDGE, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission has scheduled the Southwest District Birding Day for May 15 at Medicine Creek Reservoir and Wildlife Management Area in Frontier County.

The event will begin at 7 a.m. at the management area headquarters on the east side of the reservoir. Birding will take place until 11 a.m., break for lunch, then resume until 3:30 p.m.

Participants should bring binoculars, cameras, field guides, insect repellant, sunscreen and clothing and footwear appropriate for birding.
