DULARGE, La. (AP) - Liner’s Canal in west Terrebonne Parish will be closed until early June while crews install a water-control structure.

The Courier reports (https://bit.ly/1lufqYf ) Ducks Unlimited, an international habitat conservation and hunting organization, is leading the $500,000 project to increase freshwater flow into areas affected by saltwater intrusion. It will benefit more than 460 acres of marsh.

Liner’s Canal is about three miles long and connects lakes Penchant and De Cade. It is about 10 miles west of Dularge.
