PHOENIX (AP) - A 33-year-old Phoenix man faces sentencing Tuesday on convictions for taking his young daughter to Mexico.

Brent Anderson pleaded guilty Feb. 13 in Maricopa County Superior Court to attempted kidnapping and custodial interference.

Authorities say Anderson failed to meet the toddler’s mother at a designated place and time to return the child to her on Feb. 22, 2012.

Anderson and the woman have joint custody of the now 4-year-old girl.

Authorities say the mother and daughter were reunited in early April 2012 after being separated for 45 days.

Police detectives had tracked Anderson and the child to the small Mexican town of Pueblo Nuevo, north of Mazatlan.

Anderson was arrested and later extradited to Arizona to face charges.
