WHEATON, Md. (AP) - Montgomery County police say a woman was seriously injured when she was hit by a Ride-On bus in the Wheaton area.
Police spokesman Capt. Paul Starks says 34-year-old Tsehay Woldemanuel of Sliver Spring was hit on Randolph Road near John F. Kennedy High School on Tuesday morning. He says she was taken to a hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Officers say Woldemanuel was crossing the westbound lanes when she was hit by a bus driven by 59-year-old Edward Mericle of Fulton. He was not injured.
Police are investigating whether Woldemanuel was walking in the crosswalk.
