QUINCY, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in western Illinois say skeletal remains found behind a Quincy shopping center belong to a Missouri man.

The Quincy Herald-Whig reports (https://bit.ly/1hMLKVa ) the man was identified as 31-year-old Charles E. Hutton. Police say his body may have been near the Oak Street Mall for a year.

Forensic officials used dental records and materials found at the scene to ID the man from LaBelle, Mo.

Missouri officials say Hutton often disappeared for long periods of time, but hadn’t been reported missing.

No foul play is suspected.
