AURORA, Ill. (AP) - Authorities in Kane County say they’ve registered one of their largest heroin busts ever - seizing 9 kilograms with a street value of around $1.3 million.

The Aurora Police Department said Thursday that three suburban residents were arrested earlier this week. Authorities also seized around $275,000 in cash.

The most serious charges were filed against a 41-year-old Aurora man, Modesto Alarcon. Charges against him include possession with intent to deliver and money laundering. If convicted, he faces up to 60 years in prison.

Bail was set for Alcaron at $15 million. He also would have to prove the source of the bond money is legitimate.

Alarcon’s initial court appearance is set for April 18.

There was no phone listing for Modesto Alarcon in Aurora.
