BENTON, La. (AP) - A body found in the Red River has been identified as that of a 22-year-old man who had been missing for more than a week.

Bossier Parish sheriff’s Lt. Bill Davis says the exact cause of Glen Bowens‘ death has not yet been determined, but investigators say they did not find any sign of foul play.

Davis says Bowens‘ girlfriend filed a missing persons report with Shreveport police on March 24. Bowens‘ body was found Tuesday night about a mile south of Red River South Marina on U.S. Highway 71. He was identified from fingerprints and his family was notified Wednesday.

Davis says Bowens had moved to Shreveport from California. He says friends said they last saw Bowens near the riverfront in downtown Shreveport the evening of March 23.
