LITHONIA, Ga. (AP) - DeKalb County District Attorney’s officials say retired NBA star Shaquille O’Neal is slated to help teach teens about the dangers of drunk and distracted driving.

District Attorney’s spokesman Erik Burton says Shaq is scheduled to join representatives from his office, the county’s fire and rescue department and the Georgia Department of Highway Safety Thursday morning for an educational program at Arabia Mountain High School in Lithonia.

Organizers say O’Neal and others will speak to students about highway safety and the legal implications of vehicular homicide. A DUI accident victim is also scheduled to share a story about how a crash nearly killed him.
