LANCASTER, Calif. (AP) - Authorities have arrested a 58-year-old man suspected of robbing a Lancaster bank last month.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. David Oliva says Walter Glenn Compton was taken into custody after investigators served a search warrant at his Palmdale home this week.

The Los Angeles Times says (https://lat.ms/1dVaydV) Compton is suspected of demanding money from a teller at a Union Bank branch on March 12, then fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

He faces one count of robbery.

Investigators recovered evidence from the house that they believe is tied to the bank robbery. Oliva wouldn’t specify what that evidence is.

Compton is being held at the Palmdale station jail on $100,000 bail.
