GOODING, Idaho (AP) - A south-central Idaho man who slashed another man’s throat and left him for dead has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The Times-News reports (https://bit.ly/1dW2lWG) that 30-year-old Ryan Cunningham of Wendell received the sentence Tuesday in 5th District Court after pleading guilty to felony aggravated battery.
Police say 49-year-old Thomas Hooley used a stun gun on 31-year-old Jason Given of Blackfoot on July 13. Police say that Hooley and Cunningham also ran a blade over Given’s neck twice.
Hooley is charged with first-degree kidnapping and being an accessory to aggravated battery. His trial is set for May 7.
