STRATHAM, N.H. (AP) - The late-season cold and snow has made it tough for spring planting.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/PmdxRy) some farms are two to three weeks behind schedule, as are gardening businesses.

Beth Simpson of Rolling Green Nursery in Greenland says the winter blankets covering outdoor perennials are just now being rolled up.

Experts said a few warmer-than-normal weeks could help.
