ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont woman who pleaded guilty to a crash that killed an elderly couple in 2012 has been sentenced to six to 15 years in prison.

WCAX-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1gqir5H) 27-year-old Alexis Gabree of St. Albans had pleaded guilty in February to two counts of gross negligent operation with death resulting.

Police say Gabree was speeding and under the influence of drugs when she crossed into the path of a car on Route 105 in North Troy. The crash killed 82-year-old Edmund Moran and his 76-year-old wife, Margaret Moran.
