MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) - Two people have died in an early morning house fire in the Southern Oregon town of Rogue River.

District Fire Chief Jim Stearns tells The Mail Tribune (https://bit.ly/1u4FfSE ) that three people were in the single-story house when it caught fire early Wednesday morning, and only one got out. She was taken to a hospital, where fire investigators were interviewing her.

No details were immediately available on the two people who died.

Stearns says the flames were so intense they scorched a building next door, and fire departments came from Grants Pass, Josephine County, Jackson County and Evans Valley.
