TROY, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say one person has died in a fire that engulfed two buildings in the city of Troy.

Fire officials tell local media that the fire was reported late Thursday night at a building in the city’s Lansingburgh section. The flames spread to a neighboring building as firefighters battled the blaze into Friday morning before getting it under control.

Officials say firefighters found a woman’s body inside one of the buildings. Her name hasn’t been released.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
