BOLIVIA, N.C. (AP) - Brunswick County authorities have arrested a man who they say assaulted a pregnant woman.
The sheriff’s office said 29-year-old Maurice Kendell Wright was wanted for habitual misdemeanor assault, assault on a female, battery of an unborn child, and assault inflicting serious injury. He was arrested on Friday.
According to arrest warrants, Wright head-butted a pregnant woman near Leland on Monday, breaking her nose.
Wright is being held under a $65,000 bond. It’s not clear if he has an attorney.
