NEW YORK (AP) - Police in New York City are searching for two men they say robbed a bowling alley’s cash registers after sneaking inside by cutting a hole in its roof.
Police say Saturday they’re looking for two black men in their 30s captured on surveillance video inside Bowlerland in the Eastchester neighborhood of the Bronx early Friday.
Still frames of the video show one of the men wearing a shirt emblazoned with the words “Wild Thing.” The other man’s shirt reads, “Taylor.”
Police say the men robbed money from six cash registers in the popular neighborhood spot.
Representatives from Bowlerland haven’t returned messages seeking comment.
In 1995, an elderly butcher was killed and his brother wounded in a drive-by shooting outside Bowlerland in what police then described as a murder-for-hire plot.
