BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) - Huge Rodallega boosted Fulham’s hopes of staving off relegation from the Premier League by scoring late to secure a 2-1 win at Aston Villa on Saturday.

Fulham began the day bottom of the table but provisionally climbed to 18th after Rodallega headed in a cross from Lewis Holtby in the 86th minute.

Kieran Richardson had given Fulham the lead with a shot into the top corner in the 61st minute only for Grant Holt to head in his first goal for Villa nine minutes later.

It was Fulham first away win under manager Felix Magath, although the club remains five points from safety with five games to play.

With Christian Benteke having torn his Achilles in training this week, Holt was handed only his second start for Villa.
