NEW YORK (AP) - Princess of Sylmar was an easy winner in her comeback on Sunday, the $98,000 Cat Cay Stakes at Aqueduct.

She was a leading figure in the 3-year-old filly division last season, winning four straight Grade 1 stakes, including the Kentucky Oaks. The Cat Cay was Princess of Sylmar’s first race since finishing sixth last November in the Breeders’ Cup Distaff at Santa Anita.

She had no problem dispatching four Cat Cay rivals as the 3-5 favorite. Javier Castellano rode for trainer Todd Pletcher as Princess of Sylmar beat Wedding Toast by 3½ lengths in 1:34.79 for a mile, paying $3.20, $2.10 and $2.10.

Wedding Toast returned $2.10 and $2.10 and Flash Forward paid $2.50 to show.
