NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities say the body of a woman has been found in Queens near the East River.
Police came upon the woman’s body around 11 a.m. Saturday in the area of Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard.
Officials say she was lying on some rocks, and was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene. No identity was released.
The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office.
