GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) - Tribe leaders are opposing a bill co-sponsored by Wyoming’s congressional delegation regarding the boundaries of the Wind River Indian Reservation.

The boundary came in question after the Environmental Protection Agency issued a decision in December that included Riverton as part of the reservation. The draft bill would declare that the city’s 171,000 acres have never been part of the reservation shared by the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho and will remain outside its borders.

According to the Gillette News Record (https://tinyurl.com/q87jdtm ), Northern Arapaho leaders said the bill should appall and worry Native American people everywhere.
