JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in suburban Atlanta say a man who had just been sentenced for violating his DUI probation is facing more charges after running from court and leading police on a pursuit.

Johns Creek police say the 44-year-old man was drunk when he appeared in court Tuesday morning and was sentenced to 63 days in jail for failing to pay more than $2,000 in fines for a previous DUI.

Authorities say the man was eventually stopped and had to be subdued with a Taser because he tried fighting the responding officers.

Chris Byers of the Johns Creek police department tells WSB-TV (https://bit.ly/R11TwH ) that the man will likely be charged with aggravated assault and DUI.
